Biography

Sabine Neusüß is a graduate in journalism and communication.
Since 2003 she has been responsible for project coordination in the office of women ́s affairs of the City of Salzburg.
Since February 2011 she is responsible for Accessibility of the City of Salzburg.

Abstract

Access City Award – Accessible Salzburg?
On the first of December 2011 the city of Salzburg gets the Access City Award 2012. This award is a European price who will be awarded every year. 114 cities from 23 European States have content for this prize. The aim of this award is to promote initiatives who force accessibility in European cities. The European Union honors the efforts to force accessibility in European cities and the attempts to achieve participation for people with disabilities in everyday life. The European commission honor the city of Salzburg for the longstanding commitment and the best practice examples in accessibility assisted by people with disabilities in four topics: built environment and public spaces, transportation and related infrastructures, information and communication, public institutions and services.
The presentation shows the best practice projects who take part in Salzburg.
